Eternally Unsatisfied
Spring has come too soon
Before the birds could arrive
To sing the songs of spring
A way for life to revive
The silent ears of the unsatisfied
This winter was too cold
Freezing winds grasp your face
And leaving frozen snow kisses on your cheeks
But your fingers are purple, senseless
How can beauty survive
When chilling the bones of the unsatisfied
Summer is too hot
And autumn is not long enough
Before the snow
The trees are leafless, lifeless
I sometimes forget of the color the grass used to grow
It's spring again
And the birds have come
Welcoming us with their songs
But it rains too heavy
Weighing the wings of the unsatisfied
